Currently a researcher at France Telecom R&D’s Creative Studio.
A graduate in the History of Art and, later, Information and Communication Sciences, Mahé is currently a researcher for Creative Study at France Telecom R&D after being artistic director of the Electronic Arts Station of the University of Rennes 2 from 1993 to 2002. A specialist in the analysis of emergent uses, he is involved in research work on the prospects of the telecommunication services. He lectures in Master’s degree research courses at the University of Rennes 2, Poitiers, and Paris 8. In 2004, he was awarded a PhD for his thesis, “For aesthetics of information. Artistic creation as an anticipation of ICT social customs?”, which also won a prize awarded by the Centre de Coordination pour la Recherche et l'Enseignement en Informatique et Societe (CREIS).
